Everything begins with submitting the contact form and scheduling an enjoyable phone or Zoom consultation with Noemy. The service is officially booked upon receipt of a signed contract and paid non-refundable retainer. All done electronically. Super easy!
Payment of the retainer is necessary to secure the photographer’s availability upon the session date. Noemy will turn down other potential clients in reliance on the reservation of the session date. If the session does not take place on the set date, Noemy will incur losses that are difficult to estimate.
Once officially booked Noemy will be happy to send an email with helpful tips and inspiration as to what to wear. Booked clients will also gain easy access to Noemy for added personal assistance should they desire it. Referrals for hair and MUA are available upon request.
Noemy has acquired a commercial use permit to photograph in Joshua Tree National Park. As a commercial permit holder her portrait clients are not required to purchase a permit for professional photography inside the park. HOWEVER, events such as weddings will need to acquire a special use permit. You can acquire more information on the official JTNP website. Click here. If planning a session outside of JTNP it is the client's responsibility to acquire any and all necessary permits or permission to shoot at desired location. This includes rental properties.
The desert sun can be intense and cause squinting or harsh unattractive shadows. Though not impossible to capture beautiful photographs under bright lighting conditions it can limit the location/background options and variety of potential shots and poses. That being the case Noemy recommends the softer lighting conditions more typical around sunrise or sunset. Noemy will research what the predicted sunrise or sunset times are for your scheduled date and provide a recommended start time based on those findings.
